►I/LO-298, Monte Maddalena, 874m
March 21, 2026: I had a short weekend trip to the Lombardia area. In the evening I explored the highest point in the city of Brescia - the Monte Maddalena hill (874m). Here I did a double activation SOTA (hill I/LO-298) and POTA (IT-0821, Brescia hill park). Along with a superb view of the entire city, I managed to make 30 QSOs, including 7 with the USA. At first, I tested the VHF band with my HT (5W), just for fun, and had 2 QSOs, including a distant one with a ham from Milano! Then I switched to HF and worked on 20m (20W), 30m (5W), and 40m (20W).
